FAQs

The Pioneer Summit is: an annual gathering of people building the Global Silicon Valley and changing the world for good. We carefully curate a balanced blend of founders and CEOs from leading venture-backed startups, investors from top firms, and executives from global technology companies to catalyze transformative companies.

The Pioneer Summit is not: interested in incremental ideas. Our aspiration is to be the best forum to connect leaders using technology to solve the challenges facing humanity.

  • Q:
    A:
What should speakers and moderators keep in mind for their talks and discussions?

    A) For individual talks or 1-on-1 conversations:

Speakers should aspire to inspire the audience to use the knowledge gained from the talks to accelerate their own growth and to solve new challenges in the world.

Please craft any slide presentations to be readable all the way from the back (an often overlooked issue) and keep messaging on the page clear and direct. Please keep text to a minimum because it’s almost always impossible for the audience to read a lot of text and absorb the presentation delivered by the speaker at the same time.

    B) For panel conversations:

We ask discussion to be focused on what are the key implications going forward for your company, your industry and society at large and how can people take action from what they learned during the session.

To maximize the benefit to the audience and for the session itself, we would like this to be a lively and interactive discussion. We ask that there be little to no introduction (because people can read the bios of everyone in the Summit’s mobile app and website). It is ideal for everyone to get in the discussion right away. We find that the most engaging discussions are quick and gets to the subject area right away.

We hope that the moderator will jump in to ask follow ups and to really drill down into specifics. We are a bit disinclined to have the audience ask questions because it can take the discussion way off course and sometimes you get a speech and not a question. If you want to save the last 5 minutes for audience questions, that’s fine (probably time for 2 questions).

  • Q:
    A:
Can you give me more details about the presentation and AV setup?

For presenters who will be using a PowerPoint, Keynote or equivalent, please keep in mind the optimal resolution is 16:9. Please bring any adaptor that works with our input which is HDMI. The screen size is either 80″ or 90″ depending on the room.
