Lila Ibrahim is the chief business officer and former president of Coursera. Lila is also a strategic advisor at the prominent venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and a co-founder and executive chair of Team4Tech, an education technology non-profit. Previously, Lila had a diverse 18-year career with Intel Corporation holding multiple engineering and marketing roles including chief of staff to the former CEO and chairman. Lila’s achievements have garnered international recognition, including her appointment in 2014 to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE).
Lila has a degree from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in global leadership and public policy for the 21st century and a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. Lila currently serves on the Board of Directors for Gannett Co., Inc..
