Founding general partner at Spectrum 28, Lyon Wong will take the stage at the 2016 GSV Pioneer Summit to discuss the use of data in venture capital, specifically nutrition investing. Spectrum 28 is a Silicon Valley-based, early-stage venture capital firm investing in companies that leverage data and computation to create and transform large industries.
Prior to co-founding Spectrum 28, Lyon was a partner at Lightspeed Ventures. Lyon is passionate about product and teams, having led several of the most critical areas of Microsoft Windows (search and storage). He has spent years studying in-depth how teams form, grow and perform. Through his research, Lyon has observed how teams work in all phases of growth. Team formation and team architecture are unique insights that Lyon offers and he helps apply specific tools/algorithms to systematically drive team performance breakthroughs.
Lyon holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he co-led the Venture Capital and Greater China Business clubs. He also holds a systems design engineering degree from the University of Waterloo.
